Petoro AS is wholly owned by the Norwegian State and is subject to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries.
The State as Sole Owner
The Minister of Trade, Industry and Fisheries represents the state as the sole owner and constitutes the company’s general meeting and supreme authority.
The Petroleum Act stipulates guidelines for matters to be addressed by the company’s general meeting.
The Board of Directors
Petoro’s Board of Directors has overall responsibility for the management of the company, including ensuring that appropriate governance and control systems are in place. The Board emphasizes good corporate governance and management to ensure that the SDFI is managed in a way that maximizes economic value creation.
