The gas will be fed into the Norwegian gas export system, ensuring a continued and reliable supply to Europe. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two wet gas compressor systems will be installed on the seabed at a depth of 900 meters close the wellheads, increasing gas flow from the reservoir into the wells. The 120 km distance from shore to the installations sets a new world record for subsea compression power step-out. The project pushes technical boundaries and strengthens Norway&#8217;s position as a global center for subsea development.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ormen Lange is among the fields in Norway with the lowest carbon emissions. Offshore power consumption comes from hydropower and the gas is treated in a closed system at Nyhamna gas plant. &#8220;Ormen Lange Subsea Compression&#8221; will contribute large extra revenues to the Norwegian state.
