CEO Grethe Moen is stepping down as head of Petoro. Moen has held this position for nearly 8 years. The recruitment process to find her successor will start immediately, and Moen will remain in the position until a new CEO is in place no later than the end of February.
"The chair and I have been in a dialogue for some time as regards how long I should remain in the position of CEO, and we have now agreed that I will step down. This is a good time to give someone else an opportunity to lead Petoro. I've been the senior executive in Petoro for close to eight years; this spring I turned 60 and now I want to use my skills in different roles. These have been exciting and rewarding, but also challenging years. Petoro is a unique company with important functions for Norwegian society, and has skilled and dedicated colleagues," Moen says.
"On behalf of the board, I'd like to thank Grethe for her decade of efforts, close to eight of which as CEO. The company has delivered good results throughout her tenure, which has been characterised by significant challenges and considerable transitions. She has been a driving force to promote continuous development of the industry, not least her focus on the opportunities provided by new technology and digitalisation. Under her leadership, the organisation has been successful in a number of important issues and has maintained a clear profile in the industry," says chair Gunn Wærsted.
"Over the last year, Grethe has led the company through a reorganisation which means that Petoro is now well-equipped to take on the future challenges the industry is facing. The board and Grethe have agreed that this is a good time for new forces to lead the company into the future," Wærsted says.
